The solid metal casing remains cool to the touch due to the advanced internal cooling mechanism. Achieve optimal laminating results with the adjustable temperature control that reaches up to 320 degrees F (160 degrees C). For sensitive materials, utilize the cold lamination feature with special pressure-sensitive pouches.
The 18R6 handles pouches up to 18” wide, up to 14 mil, with a maximum laminating thickness of up to 3mm. The wide feed opening is ideal for larger projects like maps, charts, and posters. With an operating speed of up to 47 inches per minute, users can complete projects in a flash. Formax offers 3 mil and 5 mil laminating pouches for standard letter size 8.5” x 11” projects.
Operation is simple using the intuitive graphics-based LCD control panel: simply set the temperature and speed to match the laminating pouch and document thickness. A handy speed/temperature chart is printed on the top of the laminator for quick reference. The control panel features graphic indicators for hot/cold mode, speed, temperature, cooling fan, and roller operation, as well the ability to store 1 or 2 custom settings for frequently run projects.
Designed with an anti-jam rollers, it also includes a reverse button, and a dedicated cool-down cycle to prevent damage to the rollers.
